Meizu has launched M5 smartphone in India at a price of Rs. 10,499. The Meizu M5 smartphone was first introduced in China in two variants, 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage variant is priced at CNY 699 and 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant is priced at CNY 899. Only the 3GB RAM/ 32GB RAM variant has made its way to the Indian market.
The Meizu M5 smartphone comes with a hybrid SIM card slot. It features a 5.2-inch HD display (1280×720) with a 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor coupled with a Mali T860MP2 GP and 3 GB RAM. The smartphone is backed by 3070 mAh battery. It is equipped with 16 GB storage which is expandable up to 128 GB. It runs on Yun OS 5.1 with Flyme OS 5.5 UI on top.
In terms of optics, the smartphone comes with a 13 MP rear camera with a dual-tone LED flash, phase detection auto-focus and f/2.2 aperture 5P Lens. At the front, there is a 5 MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture, 4P Lens for selfies. The smartphone also comes with a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button, which promises to read fingerprints in under 0.2 seconds.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS/ A-GPS support. Sensors on board include infrared, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, gyroscope, and a magnetometer. It measures 147.28×72.8x8mm and weighs 138 grams.
