Lenovo owned Motorola has silently launched Moto Green Pomelo in China. The phone is very similar to its recently launched Moto G5S as far as the design is concerned. This phone comes in two colours, which include rose gold and cool black.
This is the budget phone and comes with a price tag of RMB 1,599, which roughly translates to Rs 15,700. As of now, the phone will be available only in China and there are no words on the India launch yet.
It is being speculated that the device is not the Moto G5s for the Chinese market, but marks the inception of a whole new series. The main differentiating factor between the Pomelo and regular Moto G5s is that the former comes with a 16-megapixel snapper on the front panel as compared to the 5-megapixel on the latter. The front camera is accompanied by an LED flash just like the regular variant. Another difference comes in the form of ZUI 3.1 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, whereas, the regular variant ships with the stock variant of the Android.
